What Pet Owners are Saying
Locally Owned. Built on Real Relationships.
Burlington has a long history of close-knit, community-based veterinary care, and that’s something we’re proud to carry forward.
As an independently owned practice, we’re able to stay focused on what matters most: building real relationships, taking the time to listen, and providing care that feels personal.
Our team lives here, works here, and is part of the same community you are. That shows up in how we care for your pet with attention, familiarity, and a genuine investment in their long-term health.

What inspired you to pursue veterinary medicine (or your field)?
As a young child, our family had an epileptic dog. It was heartbreaking watching him have seizures and I wanted to learn how to help him. As a young teen, I discovered the James Herriot books and his humor and gentle way of describing his life as a veterinarian fueled my desire.
What do you enjoy most about working with pets and their families?
I love the bond that forms between pets and their people. I love getting to know the people as well as their pets. I enjoy walking with the people through all of the life stages of their pets and then helping them walk the inevitable sadness that comes into every pet owner’s life.
Special areas of interest?
Dermatology, behavioral issues, internal medicine and general wellness care.
One thing you wish every pet owner knew?
How important it is to begin training their dogs early, to expose them to other pets and people before they are 6 months old. By doing so they eliminate most of the behavior issues I see.
Anything else you’d like clients to know?
“I am a huge soccer fan and played and coached for many years.”

What inspired you to pursue veterinary medicine (or your field)?
When I was in third grade, my parents had to euthanize our dog and I never understood why. I wanted to learn and try to understand how pets get sick and how we can help them feel better.
What do you enjoy most about working with pets and their families?
I enjoy seeing happy, healthy pets for their yearly exams. I enjoy helping sick pets feel better. Lastly, I enjoy seeing how much love and caring clients are willing to give their pets.
Special areas of interest?
Surgery, oncology, neurology.
Your approach to anxious pets or first-time owners?
When I enter a room, I greet the client and their pets. I sit with them to let the pet become acquainted with me and ask the client questions about why they brought them in. After that I let the pets smell me and any instruments that I may be using prior to examining them.
Anything else you’d like clients to know?
I hiked to Mount Everest Base Camp September 2025.

What do you enjoy most about working with pets and their families?
The relationships formed through a mutual interest of the pet/pets health. Animals are an incredible icebreaker, and I’ve met a lot of wonderful people through work.
Special areas of interest?
I love it all, it’s very fulfilling for me. I started at an exotic vet, so I feel fortunate to get to see all kinds of animals.
Your approach to anxious pets or first-time owners?
This is everyone’s first time living! Nobody is expected to know everything and going to the doctor is always scary whether it’s for you or your pet. I like to be personable with clients to make them more comfortable; I am definitely going to crack a joke if given the opportunity. I’m quite literally just like them, I’m just the one wearing the stethoscope. With animals, I’m not afraid to get on their level! You can catch me sitting on the floor trying to gain their trust with some treats and spray cheese.
Pets of your own?
I have a dog and two cats! Lyla is my dog, a black lab who came into my life when I was only 16. Lyla loves all people and anything that involves her being the center of attention. Our cat Willow was adopted from Dr. Molitor prior to me becoming a vet tech, and she far prefers my husband to me, riding around on his shoulders daily. My other cat Dobby was rescued off the side of the road as a kitten in rough shape and I nursed him back to health, making him a huge mama’s boy.
One thing you wish every pet owner knew?
Quality food goes a long way in extending the life of your pet.

What inspired you to pursue veterinary medicine (or your field)?
My mom was always an animal lover and we had a lot of different pets when I was a kid. I was interested in working with animals from a young age. After high school I went to work full time at a parrot rescue before eventually moving back home. Dr. Molitor offered me a job and I’ve been in vet med ever since.
Special areas of interest?
I especially enjoy working with parrots.
Pets of your own?
I rescue hospice cats mostly and have given many old cats a comfortable place to live out the end of their life. I also have a blue fronted amazon, Joey, who is my best buddy.
Outside of work?
Spending time with family, being at home with my pets, and playing video games.

What inspired you to pursue veterinary medicine (or your field)?
I have always had a passion for animals (especially dogs) but never saw veterinary medicine as a career option. I had many people doubt my ability to be successful in this field as it can be extremely tough but my closest friend believed in me and encouraged me to try it out. Thanks to her I have found my true passion and what I want to pursue for the rest of my life. I have fallen in love with the field and plan on going to school to become a CVT.
What do you enjoy most about working with pets and their families?
I love connecting with both the pets and the owners. They all have their own stories, personalities, and uniqueness to them. Each day is different and I love learning new things with each pet and their families.
Pets of your own?
I have 3 dogs, Kodiak is my 6 year-old German Shepherd I have had since he was a puppy. I’ve spent years training with him and we compete in a couple dog sports, he focuses mostly on Barn Hunt, Happy Ratters, & Fast Cat. I also have Lainee who is a 7–8 year old Chocolate Lab/Pitbull mix we rescued when on vacation in Tennessee. We found her on the side of the road and spent hours looking for her owner, speaking with neighbors, and even talking with the police. At the end of the day we were told to take her or leave her and of course we couldn’t leave her. She has been the biggest blessing and just the sweetest girl. Finally, I have Bryer, my 1 year old Australian Shepherd. I have had him since he was 8 weeks old where we have spent countless hours training and working. Bryer loves his sports, he is currently taking classes for dock diving, agility, barn hunt, happy ratters, and fast cat!
One thing you wish every pet owner knew?
You are their entire life and all they will ever know while they are only a short chapter in your life, so make sure to give them the best life and take care of them!
